Australia’s outer urban growth areas have lost a great champion with the passing of David Turnbull.
Former CEO of Mitchell Shire Council and City of Whittlesea, David was an inspiring leader with a vision for growth areas and the ability to build consensus. David was instrumental in establishing the National Growth Areas Alliance to advocate for growth areas at the national level. His exceptional planning expertise led to the creation of more liveable growth area communities.
We are grateful for his far-sighted and valuable contribution to growth area communities.
