Mayors, Councillors and CEOs and Senior Officers from NGAA's member councils will launch the NGAA's campaign, Catch Up with the Outer Suburbs, on Monday 18 February at Parliament House, Canberra.
People move to fast growing outer suburbs on the understanding that not all the services other Australians enjoy will be available immediately. But the wait is too long: seven years for a bus service, ten years with only one road in and out of a suburb, decades for a train line. The delay is unacceptable for the five million people already living in fast growing outer suburbs.
It’s time to catch up.
