The National Growth Areas Alliance (NGAA) is proud to announce that, in partnership with leading integrated communications, advisory and events agency ImpactInstitute, we have been awarded the Mumbrella CommsCon Award for Best Government Sponsored Campaign.
This prestigious award recognises the outstanding results of our national advocacy campaign, which brought the challenges facing Australia’s outer urban Growth Areas into the national spotlight. Through a powerful combination of strategic media engagement, data-driven storytelling, and persistent advocacy, the campaign has generated almost 1,000 media articles across national, metropolitan, and local outlets to date.
More importantly, it has helped ensure that the needs of fast-growing outer suburbs were front and centre in the minds of Federal politicians and policymakers in the lead-up to a Federal Election.
The success of this campaign reflects the strength of the collaboration between NGAA and ImpactInstitute, and the shared commitment to giving a voice to the millions of Australians living in Growth Areas. By working together, we were able to amplify the message that better infrastructure, services, and investment are essential to support the liveability and productivity of these communities.
NGAA CEO Bronwen Clark said the award highlighted the importance of professional, strategic communication in effective advocacy.
‘This campaign has helped shift the national conversation. It’s given us a stronger platform and made sure our members and their communities' stories were heard by decision-makers. We’re incredibly proud to have this work recognised by the industry.’
ImpactInstitute’s Head of Brand Storytelling, Niall Hughes, echoed the sentiment:
‘This was about creating real impact through targeted and strategic communication that highlighted the issues, but also the immense social, economic and political potential of Growth Areas. This win is a testament to what can be achieved when values-driven organisations come together with a clear goal and a united voice.’
This award is not just recognition of a successful campaign – it’s recognition that Growth Areas have benefitted from an industry leading campaign that has put their needs firmly in the public and political conversation.
